Pasadena— Freeway 210 westbound was closed for traffic early Thursday morning due to a rig accident.
At 3:30 o’clock in the morning, the crash happened in the vicinity of Pasadena’s freeways 710 and 210, as announced by the CHP.
According to the police, the operator of a Bakersfield rig lost control of his vehicle when he was negotiating a turn into Freeway 210 westbound.
The driver, identified as Louise Ramirez related that as he was about to turn and was slowing down at 40 mph, he started to hydroplane and the vehicle was running erratically. The truck crossed the freeway and hit a guard rail as it crashed into the median divider.
At the same time, a convertible Honda running along the lane was hit by the big rig. The impact made the Honda slid under the truck, according to the CHP.
By luck, none of the two drivers sustained serious injuries.
Authorities reopened the Freeway after 6:00 o’clock that morning.
