Redding, California – Police reported that a little after 2:30 o’clock in high noon of Thursday, a big truck loaded with lumber overturned at number 5 Interstate on-ramp in Redding.
Fortunately, there was no casualty but a large pile of lumber obstructed a part of the way for several hours. The smooth flow of traffic was affected as authorities had to close the southbound on-ramp coming from eastbound 9; however, southbound on-ramp coming from westbound 299 stayed open for traffic..
Officers of the California Highway Patrol officers and Caltrans stated they have to get flat-bed truck from Mount Shasta to clear the lumber. Around 4:30 o’clock in the afternoon, the area will be cleared and open for traffic.
